Yetta Carter Wolfe, 68, Gate City, VA passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Wolfe was born in Scott County, VA on May 23, 1946 to the late Glen Napier and Mary Elizabeth Peters Carter.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Wolfe, Gate City, VA; sons, A. Lynn Wolfe, Kingsport, TN, Barry Wolfe and wife, Amanda, Gate City, VA, Jody Wolfe and wife, Susan, Weber City, VA; brother, Ted Carter, Ft. Blackmore, VA; grandchildren, Cassidy Wolfe, Avery Wolfe, Carter Wolfe, Max Wolfe, Ella Kate Wolfe, Taylor Evans; along with her beloved dog “Daisy”.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Lester Morelock officiating. Andrea Sheppard will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Holston View Cemetery. Lynn Wolfe, Barry Wolfe, Jody Wolfe, and Avery Wolfe will serve as pallbearers. John D. Davidson, Dustin Coats, David Coats, John Renfro, Daniel Dean, Hagan Hartgrove, Wally Pat Ford, Don Frazier, Joe Greear, Bob Davis and golfing friends at The Crossings and the Scott County Park will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
