Margaret Marie (Sampson) Willis 82, Weber City, VA born February 23, 1931 departed this life for her home in Heaven February 4, 2014.
She was born in Scott County, VA to the late Bill and Lola Lunsford Sampson.
Margaret was a homemaker who was devoted to taking care of her children. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church for 48 years.
In addition to her parents, her son, Michael Willis preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Reverend George Willis, Jr., Weber City, VA; sons, Jeff Willis and wife, Rhonda, Weber City, VA and Greg Willis and wife, Jackie, , VA; Rye Cove, VA; grandchildren, Nikisha Thayer and husband, Ben, Johnson City, TN, Courtney Tipton and husband, Ryan, Rock Springs, TN, Neal Willis, Weber City, VA, Megan and Blake Willis, Rye Cove, VA; four great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Sampson, OH and Helen Lane, Kingston, TN; brother, Wayne Sampson and wife, Diane, MN; along with several nieces and nephew.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Pat Hammonds and Rev. Coy Butler officiating. Midway Harmony will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Blake Willis, Neal Willis, Donnie Bays, Dodge Willis, DeWight Lane, and Bob Blanton will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
