Rickey Lynn Williams, 55, Weber City, VA passed away, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, TN.
Rickey was born in Sullivan County, TN on March 17, 1960 to the late James Kermit and Lillie Sloan Williams.
In addition to his parents; his brothers, Mack and Don Williams preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Ann Nicole McGee, Mt. Carmel, TN; twin sister, Linda Butler and husband, Luther, Duffield, VA; sisters, Charlene Yates and husband, Steve, Kingsport, TN; Lois Thornburg and husband, Dwight, Fall Branch, TN; brothers, Garland Williams, Weber City, VA, Jerry Williams, Duffield, VA, Danny Williams and wife, Judy, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews and, a special niece, Jerri Ann Williams ; special nephew, Lucas Roberts (Ricks little buddy); several family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Linda and Luther Butler. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Mabe Quartet will provide the music.
Grave side services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Sloantown Cemetery in the Sloantown Community of Scott County, VA. Larry Williams, Eddie Williams, Jon Hill, Chris Roberts, Luther Butler, Steve Yates and Dwight Thornburg will serve as pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family would love to thank the Wellmont staff and Bristol Hospice House for all they did for Rickey and his family. “Thank You” to our friends and family for the prayers, calls, and courage of faith during this very sad time.
