Norma Marie Williams – Gate city, VA
Norma Marie Williams, 78, Gate City, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her residence with friends and family by her side.
Norma was born in Scott County, VA on July 5, 1938 to the late Camby and Nannie Williams.
In addition to her parents, her granddaughter, Miracle Williams; sisters, Zella Phillips, Ellen Culbertson Rose, and Bess Culbertson; brothers, Cecil Williams, Robert Williams, Junior Williams, and Bruce Williams preceded her in death.
Norma is survived by her sons, Ralph Taylor, Nickelsville, VA, Roger Williams and wife, Tabitha, Nickelsville, VA, Anthony Williams and wife, Laura, Gate City, VA, David Williams and wife, Billi, Allegan, MI, and Scotty Williams, Gate City, VA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Williams and wife, Barbara, Kingsport, TN, Carnell Williams and wife, Bobbie, Kingsport, TN, and Buford Williams and wife, Joyce, Nickelsville, VA; sisters, Mary Salyers and husband, Bob, St. Paul, VA and Irene Williams, Nickelsville, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Preacher Jimmy Hawkins officiating. The Moneyhuns will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
