Joe Floyd Williams, 66, born August 8, 1949 passed away, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Heritage Hall, Big Stone Gap, VA.
Joe Floyd was a 1967 graduate of Gate City High School and attended Clinch Valley College.
He was a beloved son, uncle, and cousin. He was a lover of nature and the outdoors, an expert gardener, math tutor, loved hiking and walking, and a collector of old bottles and jars, of which he had an extensive collection.
Joe was preceded in death by his father Grover McDonald Williams and sister, Dolores Reynolds.
He leaves behind his loving mother Zelma Kester Williams, Gate City, VA; Niece, Ginger Johnson, Greenville, NC; Nephew, Billy Joe Reynolds and wife, Erin, Gulf Port, FL; Great Nephews, Henry Johnson, Jack Johnson, Maxwell Reynolds, and Charlie Reynolds; along with several cousins.
It was the wish of Joe Floyd Williams that his body be cremated.
A private memorial service will be held in honor of Joe Floyd.
