Jeanne Wampler Williams, 84, Gate City, VA passed away, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Scott County, VA on November 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Clyde Freeman and Pluma Elliott Wampler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Quentin Williams in 2005; son, Ricky Williams; sister, Myra Nell Wampler Kilgore; and brother, Henry Boyd Wampler.
Surviving is her special nephew, Quentin Russell Kilgore along with several other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Annie Wampler and brother-in-law, Carl Kilgore, whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry L. Hall and the Rev. Paul Blessing officiating.
Burial will follow the service Friday, July 15, 2011 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Weber City, 155 Shady Elm Lane, Weber City, VA 24290-7299.
