Herman Dewey Williams, 70, Nickelsville, VA passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born in Scott County, VA on June 18, 1944 to the late William Henry and Ora Myrtle Williams.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Kathy Skeens Williams and sisters, Virginia (Jenny) Williams McLean and Pauline Williams Thorpe preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie Nickels and husband, Randall, Nickelsville, VA, Jennifer Williams, Nickelsville, VA, Christina Williams, Gate City, VA, and Crystal Grizzle and husband, Shawn Grizzle, Dungannon, VA; grandchildren, Leanne Sluss, Charles Porter, Matthew Nickels, Alexis Atkins, Kenneth Atkins, Savannah Nickels, Hunter Dean, Landon Williams, and Mason Grizzle; siblings, Lonnie Williams, Madison, GA, Irene Williams, Big Stone Gap, VA, Georgia Williams Melton, Gate City, VA, Yvonne Williams Viney, Kingsport, TN, Randy Williams, Laurens, SC, and Nancy Mae Williams, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation and memorial service from 5-9 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Dungannon First Baptist Church, Dungannon, VA.
