Cecil Williams – Dryden, VA
Cecil Williams, 88, passed away, Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Mr. Williams was born in Scott County, VA on July 24, 1926 to the late Kelly and Della Sloan Williams.
In addition to his parents; his brothers, Kermit Williams, Cleo Williams and sister, Mozella Williams preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Darlene and Eddie Slemp, Surgoinsville, TN, Christine and Jimmy Wampler, Gate City, VA, Larry Williams, Surgoinsville, TN, Judy Butler, Duffield, VA, Marlene and Harvey Moody, Kingsport, TN, Geraldine Williams, Pennington Gap, Eddie and Valerie Williams, Kingsport, TN; 12 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; along with his sister, Betty Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. R.D. Stallard officiating. Eddie Slemp, Austin Dillard and Vickey Bennett will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Ray Chapman, Michael Wampler, Brandon Dishner, Shannon Slemp, Zachary Dillard and Austin Dillard will serve as pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
