Bobbie Jean Williams – Kingsport, TN
Bobbie Jean Williams, 86, Kingsport, TN passed away October 21, 2022, at her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She was born on September 9, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Patrick Henry and Lois Mae Gillenwater Lane.
In addition to her parents, her son, Jeffrey Mathes preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Coy Williams; daughters, Robin Mathes, Kay Wallen, and Jennifer Smith; sons, Tim (Jennie) Mathes and John (Vickie) Mathes; Janet Gillenwater, who she thought of as a daughter; along with, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be conducted in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home per the family’s wishes.
Graveside services will be conducted at Holston View Cemetery. Jamey Mathes, Landon Mathes, Jordan Mathes, Dalton Mathes, Jeff Hawkins, and Darby George will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to the members of Smoky Mountain Health & Hospice for their love and care of Bobbie Jean.
