Anna Qualls Williams, 96, Duffield, VA passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Williams was born in Scott County, VA on July 1, 1916 to the late Ernest Doyle and Ninnie Hamilton Qualls. She was the last surviving member of the Qualls family.
In addition to her parents, her husband, William Fred Williams (1984); daughter-in-law, Lily Ann Orr Williams; and five sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest Doyle Williams and wife, Barbara, Huntsville, AL and Gary Shelton Williams, Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Regina Ann Young and husband, Paul, Birmingham, AL, Ernest David Williams and wife, Caryn, Huntsville, AL, and Cortney Wynn Jessee; Duffield, VA great grandchildren, Jack Young, Carson Williams, and Hannah Williams; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Darrel Fletcher officiating. Yvonne Edwards will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Paul Young, David Williams, Jack Young, Charles Fugate, Larry Bishop, and Charles Bishop will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to convey their special thanks to Rhonda Bishop, Jean McDavid, and Larry Bishop, her neighbors and friends for the quality they added to her life with their calls and visits, and her care helpers that enabled her to live at home.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial remembrances may be made to the Thomas Village Baptist Church, P.O. Box 267, Duffield, VA 24244 in the name of Anna Qualls Williams
