Frank Austin – Duffield, VA

William Frank Austin, 63, Duffield, VA went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.

Frank was born in Kingsport, TN on July 3, 1960, and was the son of the late William Russell and Beda Rose (Frazier) Austin.

He was an active farmer, loved raising cows, mowing, and putting up hay with his brother and nephew. Frank was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Vulcan Material until his health started declining.

He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, his brother, George Austin, and great niece, Aubree Tate preceded him in death.

Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Patricia (Don) Bloomer, brothers, Denny (Sara) Austin, Michael ( Karen) Austin, and Earl (Joyce) Austin, sister-in-law, Judy Austin, nieces and nephews, Amanda (Andy) Tate. Yuma VA, Keith (Melany) Austin, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Misty Hill and fiancé, Jarrod Griffith, Church Hill, TN, Jonathan (Linda) Austin, Blackwater, VA, Ronnie (April) Davis, Gate City, VA, Kristen (Josh) Grimm, Gate City, VA, Justin Austin and fiancée, Caressia Bristol, Duffield, VA, Amy Coats, Gate City, VA, Christopher Austin, Kingsport, TN, and April (John) Trent, Church Hill, TN, a special friend, Carroll Baker, his special precious little girls, Orie and Bella, his fur babies, along with many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Gate City Funeral Home.

Private Graveside services will follow at the Austin/Frazier Family Cemetery, Duffield, VA with Rev. Chuck Grimm, and Rev. Jackie Frazier officiating. Andy Tate will provide the music.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank everyone for the calls, messages, for stopping by, and for the prayer they have prayed, and to Johnson City Medical Center ICU Unit 2900 for the wonderful, loving care they showed to us and our brother. May God bless them all.
