Ann Rogers Wilhelm, 72, passed away, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Indian Path Medical Center, Kingsport, TN due to a long battle with Lupus and cancer.
She was a resident of Gate City, VA and formerly of Big Stone Gap, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. Rogers, Sr. and Grace A. Rogers; brothers, Charles D. Rogers, Jr., and Frank Rogers and her sister, Billie Rogers White.
Surviving are her children, Stephanie Ann Willis and husband, Jr., Gate City, VA; son, Stephen Demma, Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Travis Whitley and Jessica, Matthew Porter and wife, Emily, and Amber and Britini Demma; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Rosamond Rogers Shaffer, Big Stone Gap, VA and Betty Rogers Dye, Kingsport, TN She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her request was to be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Homeland Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L. Street N.W., Suite 710, Washington, DC 20036 in memory of Ann Rogers Wilhelm.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors on the 4th and 7th floors of Indian Path Medical Center for the care and kindness they gave her.
