September 17, 1953 to the late Roy W. Wheatley and Josephine N. Wheatley. Mr. Wheatley worked for the City of Kingsport for 30 years. He was a big Cubs fan and loved his dogs (Tyler and Maggie). He was a member of the Cherokee Rod and Gun Club. He also had varieties of hobbies. Surviving is his wife, Mary Len Wheatley, Kingsport, TN. Brothers-in-law; Dwight and wife, Ellen Monday, Kingsport, TN and Kyle Huffman, Fall Branch, TN, Sister-in-law; Martha Huffman, Fall Branch, TN. Nephew and nieces; Evan Huffman, Fall Branch, TN, Meghan and husband, Chris Carr, Catherine Carr and Claire Carr all from Kingsport, TN. Along with several cousins. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, Kingsport, TN. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Father Charles Burton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
