William Manon Watts
William M. Watts, 66, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center.
William was born in Sullivan County, TN on July 13, 1949. Hewas the son of the late Navarre and Zola Campbell Watts.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Terri Casteel Watts and his nephew, Joe Don Watts preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Nicky B. Watts and wife, Revonda; Gate City, VA; grandsons, Brett, Zach, and Luke, all of Gate City, VA; brothers, Navarre Watts and Don Watts; sisters, Patsy Watts and Wanda Collier, all of Kingsport, TN; his special aunt, Thelma Watts, Kingsport, TN; double first cousins, Richard, Harry, Larry, Gary, and Mildred, all of Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Alan Moser, Pastor Randy Waller, and Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Boots On The Ground will provide the music.
Military Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Slant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Slant, VA., conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265, Gate City, VA assisted by members of the Virginia Army National Guard Honor Guard. His Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., Saturday to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family would like to thank the nurses of Indian Path Medical Center 5th floor and ICU, Dr. Campbell, Dr. Moore and the Home Health Care nurses.
