Danny Anthony (Speedy) Watts – Casar, North Carolina
Danny Anthony (Speedy) Watts, 31, Casar, North Carolina passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 in Duffield, VA.
Danny was born in Oakdale, CA on March 25, 1986 to the late Darvin Anthony and Robin Lynn (Miller) Watts.
In addition to his parents, his maternal grandfathers, Edvard Pedersen and Jack Allen Miller, and paternal grandparents, James Dewey and Fairy Elizabeth Watts preceded him in death.
Danny was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him. Danny was also a great musician and loved writing songs. He was loved deeply and will be missed by all.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Christy Watts of the home; daughter, Aliegha Faith Watts of the home; son, Waylon Anthony Watts, Kingsport, TN; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Dorothy Pedersen, Oakdale, CA; special uncle who was his father figure and raised him as one of his own, Jimmy Allen Watts, Duffield, VA; sisters, Chelsea McKinney and husband, Shannon, Sneedville, TN and Dawn Martin and husband, John, Church Hill, TN; brothers, Eugene Mitchell, Weber City, VA, Darvin Ishmal Dewey Watts, Kingsport, TN, Coty Watts and wife, Samantha, Church Hill, TN, Rusty Cheyenne Watts, Lynn Garden, TN and Jimmy Gentry Watts, Weber City, VA; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Preacher Steve McCoy officiating.
Graveside services will be following the services on May 16, 2017 at Watts Family Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gate City Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
