Patricia Anne Wallen – Kingsport, TN
Patricia Anne Wallen went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Pat was born in Appalachia, VA to the late Daniel Earl and Rena (Tate) Hill.
In addition to her parents, her two children, Christopher Lynn Wallen and Cindy LeAnne Wallen, and her brother, William Ray Hill preceded her in death.
Pat loved to cook and feed her family and friends. She loved having Garvie plant flowers for her to take care of. But her most favorite joy was her family, especially her grandson Andrew who was her pride and joy. She was an avid Nascar fan.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Garvie Odell Wallen, Kingsport, TN; daughter, Kim Brown and husband, David, Johnson City, TN; sons, Jeff Wallen, Gray, TN and Greg Barker and wife, Sherie, Gray, TN; grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Aaron Barker; sister-in-law, Jacquie Hill, Big Stone Gap, VA; brother-in-law, Tom Wallen and wife, Sue, Church Hill, TN along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Family and friends will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Holston View Cemetery at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday for the graveside service.
She will be missed by her special friends, Bobby and Ellen Booker, Ruth Monroe, and many others. Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her.
