Mrs. Ida Anne Wade, 68, Afton, TN passed away, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, Greeneville, TN.
Mrs. Wade was born and raised in Duffield, VA, and had lived in Greeneville, TN most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Ray Henry Bowen, Sr. and the late Eva Mae Seymore.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie Estel Ramey, Ruby Faye Pate, and Margie Ethel Bowen; and a brother, Lonnie Edward Bowen.
Surviving are her husband, Tony Wade, Afton, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Douglas Babb, Greeneville, TN, and Tony (Sissy) and Rick Malone, also of Greeneville, TN; sons, Randy Bowen, Clinchport, VA, and Roger Wade, Chuckey, TN; grandchildren, Aurora Bowen, Waterford, CT, Samantha Malone, Greeneville, TN, Douglas and Logan Babb, Greeneville, TN, Thomas Wade, Greeneville, TN; step grandchildren, Jessica Babb, Greeneville, TN and Justin Babb, Greeneville, TN; step great grandchildren, Cody Duvall, Greeneville, TN and Keyarra Babb, Greeneville, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Bishop and husband, Phil, Duffield, VA, Betty Jo Bowen and husband, Denver, Wise, VA, Violet Rose, Bowen and husband, Donald, Anita Carol Mullins and husband, Vincent, Duffield, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray (Bug) Bowen, Jr., and wife, Martha, Mt. Carmel, TN, and Samuel Patton Bowen and wife, Nancy; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bowen, Duffield, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Donald. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Bowen officiating. Durham's Chapel Quartet will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Private Bowen Family Cemetery, Cliff Mountain Way of the Duffield community. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
