Vonda Marie Corder – Dungannon, VA

Vonda Marie Corder, 73, Dungannon, VA gained her angel wings Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone. She was the best country cook, and you always left with a plate of food to take home (but be sure to bring her bowls back). She always thought of others before herself.

Vonda was born in Scott County, VA on May 13, 1951, the daughter of the late, Noble and Margie Quillen Hall.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles (Buck) Corder; sister, Faye Baker and infant great granddaughter, Joplin Hall preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, Michael Corder and wife, Tammy, Tony Corder and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Jacob and wife, Dakota Corder, Anna-Marie Corder, Clay Corder, Cassidy Hall and fiancé, Matthew Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Malachi, Noah, Titus T, Maybelle, Marshall, Jaxson, Dottie Jo, Adeleigh; sisters, Ellen (Herb) Johnson; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Hall , Mack (Dorothy) Quillen, Coy Hall and friend, Betty Vicars; sisters-in-law, Edna Bailey, Fran Pair and Doris Reddin; special friends, Gaye Renfro, Diane Mitchell, and many others; along with several special nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 11-1p.m. at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Ernie Mitchell and Dale Hall officiating. Cassell’s Chapel Quartet will provide the music.

Burial will follow the service at the Corder Cemetery, Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
