Billy Jason Tomlinson, 35, Duffield, VA passed away, Thursday, January 16, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Billy was born in Wise, VA on December 11, 1978 to Jack and Brenda Tomlinson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nannie and Andy Tomlinson and his maternal grandparents, Holly and Branche Berry; aunt, Lillie Fletcher and Uncle Roy Tomlinson.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Haley Lynn Tomlinson, Duffield, VA; son, Jason Tyler Tomlinson, Duffield, VA; mother of his children, Misty Mcelyea, Duffield, VA; mother, Brenda Lynn Tomlinson; father, Jack Tomlinson; sister, Jackie Lynn Johnson; special aunt, Rosie Hensley and a special nephew, Matthew Johnson, who loved his " Uncle J"; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:30-7 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley, Otto Gibson and Pastor Charles Rhoton officiating. The Hood Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Tomlinson Cemetery in the Purchase Ridge Community of Scott County, VA. Tyler Tomlinson, Joe Sturgill, Lloyd Mendenhall, Robert Berry, Larry Berry, Billy Falin, Troy Roberts and Cameron Clamon will serve as pallbearers. Jeff Henderson, Charles Fletcher and Eddie Fletcher will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
