Shirley Ann Tipton – Kingsport, TN
Shirley Ann Tipton, 80, a resident of The Village at Allendale, and formerly of Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Ms. Tipton was born in Scott County, VA on December 6, 1937, a daughter of the late James Clarence and Kate McDavid Tipton.
In addition to her parents, her sisters and brother-in-law, Frances and Carson “Gene” Todd and Imogene Tipton; and niece, Melissa Lane preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nieces, Mrs. Sharon (Terry) Dean, Ms. Susan James, Mrs. Kathy (Dwight) Taylor, Mrs. Sara (Denny) Austin, and Mrs. Michelle (Randall) Stapleton; nephews, Mr. Mark (Brenda) Todd and Mr. Michael Todd.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Pastor Randall Stapleton and Pastor Mark Todd officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
