James Kelly “Rudy” Tipton, 77, Weber City, VA passed away, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Rudy was born in Scott County, VA on February 6, 1938 to the late Kelly Doctor and Lillie Mae Kinkead Tipton.
In addition to his parents, his brothers, Fred, Charles, Junior Lee, and Edward “Doc” Kinkead preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Rhonda Hall, Weber City, VA and Myrtle Pauline Ramey, Ft. Blackmore, VA; brother, Willie Mac Tipton, Church Hill, TN; brother-in-law that was more than just a brother-in-law, John Jordan; special nieces, Sissy Babb, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Diahanna Peters, Ft. Blackmore, VA; special nephew, Nathan Hall, Weber City, VA; several other nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m, Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Edwards Cemetery in Hill Station community of Scott County, VA with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Toke Hensley and James “Babe” Lawson will provide the music.
Marty, Harold, Diahanna, and Sissy will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
