Clarence Imogene Tipton, 86, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Brookhaven Manor, Kingsport, TN.
Ms. Tipton was born in Scott County, VA on February 26, 1929, a daughter of the late James Clarence and Kate McDavid Tipton.
In addition to her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Carson “Gene” Todd; and niece, Melissa Lane preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Tipton, Kingsport, TN; nieces, Sharon Dean and husband, Terry, Kingsport, TN, Susan James and husband, Eddie, Castlewood, VA, Kathy Taylor and husband, Dwight, Gate City, VA, Sara Austin and husband, Denny, Gate City, VA, and Michelle Stapleton and husband, Randall, Church Hill, TN; nephews, Michael Todd and wife, Jo, Kingsport, TN and Mark Todd and wife, Brenda, Gate City, VA.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Rev. Randall Stapleton officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
The family wishes to thank Amedysis Health, Brookhaven Manor Nursing Home, and the Brian Center (NOVA) for the care given to Imogene during these last few years.
