Dorothy Virginia Tinkham, 71, Duffield, VA passed away, Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Dorothy was born in Washington County, TN on August 31, 1941 to the late Jessie and Lucille Hicks Springer.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Frank Tinkham; brothers, Jese Springer, Lonnie Hick and great-grandchild, Izaiah Gent preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Lyons and wife, Barbara, Edison, TN, Frankie Tinkham and wife, April, Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Alisha Lyons, Molly, Ashley and Amber Tinkham; 6 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jackie Frazier officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at The Lyons Family Cemetery, Big Spring Community, Edison, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
