Roy "Wayne" Tignor

Roy "Wayne" Tignor, 63, born April 24, 1946, answered God's call to come to Heaven on August 3, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Maggie Tignor and brother, Doug Tignor.
He was a lifetime native to Southwest Virginia, residing in Clinchport and Big Stone Gap, VA. All knew him as a loving and devoted father, papaw, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved talking and being with the ones he loved. "He was a good man."
He recently retired from Robinette Steele and previously from Eastman Chemical Co.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shonda and Nick Leinbach; grandson, Dayne, 7 ½ and granddaughter, Rylee, 19 mos, all of Gray, TN. Also surviving are his siblings, Bill Tignor, Gate City, VA, Guy Tignor, Duffield, VA, Linda Bowen, Duffield, VA and Judy Brockwell, Waynesboro, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Garry Hood and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating.
A private burial will be held for the family at a later date.
