Jeffrey Wayne Thompson, 55, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his residence.
Jeffrey was born on February 9, 1964 in Sullivan County, TN to Marjorie Anne (Taylor) and James Emmette Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his son, Justin Wayne Thompson (2007); maternal grandparents, Okie and Arthur Taylor; and paternal grandparents, Lois and Clyde Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Thompson, Kingsport, TN; daughter, Haley Thompson, Kingsport, TN; sons, Eric Thompson and Hunter Thompson both of Kingsport, TN; parents, James and Marjorie (Taylor) Thompson, Kingsport, TN; sister, Kathy Arnold, Mount. Carmel, TN; brothers, David Thompson, Kingsport, TN, Steve Thompson (Michelle), Kingsport, TN; granddaughter, Macy Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bob Underwood officiating. Damon Depew will be providing the music.
Military Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 By the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265, Gate City, VA at Thompson Cemetery, Kingsport, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
