Thomas Jeffrey McDavid, 53, passed away, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Sullivan County, TN, on December 26, 1969, Jeff was the son of the late Kelly Gene McDavid Sr., and Opal Maxine (Harper) McDavid.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Opal, and father, Kelly McDavid.

Left to cherish his memory are his companion, Michelle Sons, Duffield, VA; brothers, Kelly McDavid, Jr., Greenville, TN, and Lee McDavid (Nancy), Rye Cove, VA; sister, Patricia Lewis (Johnny), Kingsport, TN; stepchildren, Tina Gilbert, Sam Baker, Kristal Russel, Alisha Sons, and Logan Sons; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:30p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Garry Hood. The Hood Family will provide the music.

Graveside services will be Follow at the Davidson Cemetery in Rye Cove, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.

A celebration of life will follow the burial at the homeplace, food and refreshments will be available.
