Margret Ella "Peggy" Fugate Templeton, 74, Gate City, VA passed away Saturday, February 8, 2009 at her home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and other family members.
Mrs. Templeton was born in Hiltons, VA on February 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Thomas H. Fugate and Ella Bowlin Fugate. She lived in Indianapolis, IN for thirty years where she and her husband, Jack, reared their three children and she worked as a certified medicine aide. She and her husband returned to Gate City after retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Templeton, sisters, Lucille Hobbs and Flo Stafford and brothers, Joe, Milburn, Waco and Freddie Fugate.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Straub, Algona, IA, sons, Max Templeton and wife, Mimi, Eagle Point, OR and Kem Templeton and wife, Debbie, Westfield, IN, grandchildren, Jack Templeton, Joe Straub, Zoe Templeton, Eli Templeton and Betty Straub along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Gate City Funeral Home.
