Mrs. Mary E. Berry Taylor, 66, Clinchport VA. passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Scott County, VA on May 18, 1944, daughter of the late Patrick H. and Lillian Hunley Berry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Troy Hunley Rhoton, foster parents, Ted and Reba Castle, and her foster sister, Imogene Gross. And nephew; Jimmy Woods
Surviving is her loving husband, Donald Taylor, Clinchport, VA; her loving son and care giver, Anthony Lynn Taylor, Clinchport, VA; one special granddaughter; sisters, Elizabeth Chafin, Lebanon, VA and Julie Quillen and husband, Patton, Rye Cove, VA; brothers, Allen Berry and wife, Wanda, Mt. Carmel, TN, William Eli Berry, Duffield, VA, and Worley Cecil Berry and Kay, Jonesborough, TN; foster sister and brothers, Ilene Meyers, North Carolina, Ray Bledsoe, Hiltons, VA, Leo and Stevie Castle; Big Stone Gap, VA, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Hunley and the Rev. Robert (Buddy) Legg officiating. Gary Hunley will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Taylor Family Cemetery, Clinchport, VA. Joe Quillen, Bill Broadwater, Jason Lane, Jason Berry Chris Quillen, Nathaniel Quillen Patrick Quillen and Orbin Lane, will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
