Katherine Taylor – Duffield, VA
Katherine Taylor, 81, Duffield, VA went to meet Jesus, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Scott County, VA on June 23, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Clabe and Ann Lee (Webb) Rogers.
In addition to her parents, her daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Jerry Freeman; son, Ricky Taylor; great grandson, Gavin Arnold; and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Katherine was a loving person who will be missed by everyone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Taylor, Duffield, VA; daughter, Anna Mae Reed and husband Tony; sister, Inez Fields and husband Ray Fields, Sr., Gate City, VA; sisters-in-law, Patsy and Bobby Austin, Duffield, VA and Betty and Jr. Sturgill, Gate City, VA; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Red Hill Memorial Church, Pattonsville, VA and other times at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Anna Mae and Tony Reed. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Chuck Grimm, Evangelist Kenneth Neeley, and Rev. Bill Tignor officiating. Bloodbought will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Taylor Family Cemetery, 6080 Natural Tunnel Parkway, Duffield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
