Jonathan "John" Lorin Sutherland, 24, departed from this life May 16, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Tennessee September 21, 1984. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, James H. and Zelma Ruth Stanley; one uncle, Lennie James Gilliam and one great uncle, David Eugene Stanley.
Survivors include his father, Darrell B. Sutherland, Clinchport, VA; mother, Elisa Lane and husband, Danny, Duffield, VA; sister, Kimberly Barnette and husband, Steve, Dryden, VA; maternal grandparents, Lorin and Jeanella Gilliam, Clinchport, VA; two nephews and one niece.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Denny Hass officiating. Music will be provided by Working Toward the Promise Singers.
Burial will follow the service at the Stanley Cemetery, Hunters Valley, Rye Cove Community.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
