Carol Sturgill, 71, Kingsport, TN passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Holston Manor in Kingsport, TN
Carol was born in Dowagiac, Michigan on December 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Pauline Peoples.
She was a member of Red Hill Memorial Church in Duffield, VA.
In addition to her mother, her husband Elmer Gene Sturgill; brothers, Richard Stark and Larry Stark and sister, Patty Stark preceded her in death.
She is survived by daughter, Lisa Graham and Kevin Ball, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Kendyll Graham and Peyton Graham; sister, Robin (Walt) Peters along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Pastor Chuck Grimm and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November, 15, 2016 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Family would like to thank the staff at Holston Manor in the 100 wing.
