Clive Hassel Strong, 79, Gate City, VA passed away, Friday, November 04, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Clive was born in Scott County, VA on April 22, 1937. He was the son of the late Lester and Annalee Musick Strong.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Eastman Chemical Company.
In addition to his parents, his son, Billy Wayne Strong preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann (McReynolds) Strong, Gate City, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Pendleton and Pete Pendleton, Gate City, VA; son, Donnie Lee Strong, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Samantha Pendleton, Westley Pendleton, Kayla Strong, and Christian Strong; great grandchildren, Etta Josephine Sexton, Brady Miles Sexton, and Caden Horne; along with his special friends, Warner and Nina Brickey, Weber City, VA and Johnny and Dorinda Musick, Gate City, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home.
