Sharon Hope Starnes, 54, Mount Carmel, TN passed away, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sullivan County, TN on July 1, 1954, the daughter of the late James Walter Kindle and Nadine Carol Clendenin Kindle.
Sharon was a loving wife and mother who was a pillar of strength for her family during this difficult battle.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Starnes, Mount Carmel, TN, her devoted daughter, Carol Ann Starnes, Mount Carmel, TN, brother, Rick Kindle and wife, Janice, Madison, WI, several nieces and nephews, best friend, Shirley Bledsoe, a new but true friend, Garnett Allen and her "baby boy" chihuahua, Jaxon.
The family will receive friends from 11a.m. ? 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Janis Bradley officiating and a eulogy will be given by her dear friend, Shirley Bledsoe.
Burial will follow at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Sharon's family wishes to thank the Wellmont fifth floor nurses, her Hospice nurses, especially Renee Skelton and Rebecca Sutherland, Drs. Shipstone, Baumrucker and Cohen, the nurses and staff of the Kingsport Hematology and Oncolgy Associates, and all of their friends and neighbors for their love and support.
