Brenda Gail McMurray Starnes, 51, Gate City, VA passed away, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Brenda was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 11, 1963, the daughter of the Caleb and Genevieve McMurray.
Her brother David McMurray preceded her in death.
She is survived by her parents; daughter, Abigail Starnes, Hiltons, VA; sons, Justin McMurray, Hiltons, VA, Caleb Starnes, Hiltons, VA; sister, Betsy Blalock and husband Raymond Blalock, Hiltons, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Preacher Ronnie Horne and Rev. Steve Templeton. The McMurray Brothers will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery, Hiltons, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 to go in procession to the graveside service.
