Cecile Dingus Stanley, 74, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Stanley was born in Scott County, VA on July 13, 1939 to the late Henry Kyle and Vesta Lillian Howington Quillen.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Roy Lee Dingus and her son, Eddie Dingus preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, James Stanley, Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughters, Dorothy Crump and husband, Christopher, Church Hill, TN, Shirley Derrick, Mount Carmel, TN, Kathy Hammonds and husband, Dennis, Kingsport, TN, Norma Herbert and husband, Beverly, Bristol, VA; sons, Billy Dingus and wife, Annette, Gate City, VA; sister, Mable Rasnake, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Megan Derrick, Amanda Lane, Rebecca Price, Chrisy Perry, Josh Hammonds, Heather Hommel, Joey Crooke, Justin Dingus and Jessica Dingus; step-grandchildren, Chris and Robin, 5 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Clayton Williams and Rev. Walker Darnell officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. David Cody, Kevin Perry, Dennis Hammonds, Josh Hammonds, Beverley Herbert and Christopher Crump will serve as pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the graveside service.
