Johnny R. "J.R." Stallard, 65, Weber City, VA passed away, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, Richmond, VA.
Mr. Stallard was born in Sullivan County, TN to the late James Henry and Pearl (Kimbler) Stallard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Stallard.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Stallard, Weber City, VA; daughter, Jessica Stallard Brown and husband, Stacy, Mosheim, TN; grandchildren, Braylin Brown and Corbin Brown; sister, Mildred Stallard Mitchell and husband, Forest, Arlington, VA; brother, James Lawton Stallard and wife, Judy, Ft. Blackmore, VA; and niece, Regina Lunsford and her family, Hiltons, VA; and several aunts and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Stallard officiating. J.R. Hensley, J.C. Radford, and Mike Smith will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends from the Pickin' Parlor will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Saturday to go in procession to the graveside service.
