Glenna Dane Hagy Spivey, 79, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, November 10, 2012.
Mrs. Spivey was born in Russell County, VA on December 9, 1932 to the late Carson and Gladys Kiser Hagy.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond Spivey; son, Lonnie Spivey; sister, Ada Judy Smith, and brother, Jim Hagy preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Mark Spivey and wife, Laura, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Chelsea Spivey, Gate City, VA and Alex Spivey, Gate City, VA; daughter-in-law, Gitte Spivey, Gate City, VA; sister, Mary Sue Alexander, Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Ralph Hagy, Sullivan County, TN and Earl Hagy, IN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Don Hanshew, Rev. Jim Hagy, and Rev. Scott Tipton officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Elliott Smith, David Harless, George Russell, Anthony Lane, John Carter, and John Carter, IVwill serve as pallbearers. Jimmy Sapp, Ronnie Begley, John Miller, Gary Sutherland, and Allen George will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
