Georgia Ann Spicer, 44, Gate City, VA went to be with her Lord, Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Georgia was born in Illinois on April 23, 1966, the daughter of Mary Bellamy and the late George W. Spicer.
She was a member of The First Assembly of God Church of Gate City, VA where she was treasurer, a member of the Praise Team, and a leader in the Children's Ministry.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Michael Spicer.
Surviving is her mother, Mary Bellamy Spicer, Gate City, VA; brothers and sister-in-law, Timothy Allen Spicer, and wife, Joanna, Gate City, VA. Jeffery Scott Spicer, and fiancée, Karen, Gate City, VA; nephews, Jed Spicer and Caleb Spicer; God daughter, Miliah Rhoten, and God son, Nathaniel Rhoten.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Argoe officiating and the Rev. Jeff Casteel. Music will be provided by the First Assembly of God Church Singers and Chris Holder.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Robby Thacker, Ricky Lane, Robert Hammonds, James Rhoten, Daniel Thacker, and Steve (PeeWee) Smith will serve as pallbearers. Eddie Spivey, Jason Spivey, and Nathaniel Rhoten will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
