Bessie "Ella" Sons ? 86, went home to be with the Lord January16, 2008 at Brian Center Health and Rehab. Born in Scott county, VA October 20, 1922 to the late Eli Sons and Rachel Sloan.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Della Williams, Lola Sloan and Georgia Peters; her brothers, Charlie, Woodrow, Howard and Bill Sons, Sr.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Dollie Sons, Clinchport, VA, niece, Eva Overbay, Weber City, VA and a great nephew, Timmie Overbay, Weber City, VA along with several nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Music will be provided by Mabe Quartet.
Burial will follow the service in Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
