Phyllis T. Snodgrass, 77, Gate City, VA passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born in Scott County, VA on December 20, 1936 to the late Patton and Dicey Countiss Thomas.
She was a hairdresser.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Loraine McNutt and brothers, Delaney and Conley Thomas preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, R. Gerald Snodgrass, Gate City, VA; daughter, Robin Hill and husband, Dickie, Kingsport, TN; son, Steve Snodgrass and wife, Lisa, Surgoinsville, VA; grandchildren, Dustin Hill and wife, Stephanie, Whitney Johnson, and Logan Snodgrass; great granddaughter, Parker Johnson; sisters, Francis Robinette, Gate City, VA, Ruby Fowler and husband, Jack, Paradise Valley, AZ, and Rose Flanary and husband, Bill, Hiltons, VA; special friends, Rev. Joe Hill and Flo Wolfe; along with several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 at V.A. Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
