Una Joesphine "Jo" Snodgrass, 92, entered into Heaven December 27, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center. Instant from the body and present with the Lord. No more pain or suffering.

She was a member of the former West End Baptist Church. Mrs. Snodgrass was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Buford Snodgrass and son, Jimmy Snodgrass; parents, Herbert (Hub) and Liz Venable and one brother, H.P. Venable.

Surviving are two sons, Johnny Snodgrass, of the home, Jack Snodgrass and wife, Helen, Gate City, VA; four grandchildren, Jessica Eichmann and husband, Norman, Gate City, VA, Paula Snodgrass, Gate City, VA, Jackie Willis and husband, Greg, Duffield, VA, Mike Snodgrass and wife, Judy, Gate City, VA; great grandchildren, Brittany and Nikisha Eichmann, Gate City, VA, Meagan and Blake Willis, Duffield, VA, Misty Perry and husband, Keith, Gate City, VA, and Mandy Snodgrass, Gate City, VA; great great grandson, Jayden Snodgrass, Gate City, VA.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wrightly Salling officiating. Music will be provided by Letha Reed and Cecil Cole.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family wants to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Indian Path Hospital 5th Floor for their loving care for Jo and to Tommy at Tri-City Floral of Bristol for their beautiful flowers.

Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Snodgrass family.
