Victor Paul Smith – Gate City, VA
Victor Paul Smith, 87, Gate City, VA passed away, Friday, March 22, 2019 at his residence.
Born in Scott County, VA on December 21, 1931, he was the son of the late E.M. Smith and Kate (Addington) Smith.
Victor was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War Era.
A born-again Christian, imperfect, but forgiven, he walked in the fear of an almighty God and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith with membership at the Addington Frame Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Lola (Fuller) Smith; and brother, E.M. (Junior), Smith preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughters, Susan Smith Greene and Paula Smith Guy and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Victoria Greene Pridemore and husband, Phillip and Blake Greene; great grandsons, Rylan and Bo; his sister, Gertrude Addington; and his church family.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of Susan Smith Greene. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Harmon Willis officiating.
Burial will follow at The Addington Frame Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
