Kelly Smith, Jr., 71, Duffield, VA passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his residence.
Kelly was born January 14, 1941 in Scott County, Virginia to Kelly Smith and Sarah Lane Smith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Smith and James Smith.
Kelly is survived by daughter, Iva Jean Smith Collins of Gate City, VA; sister, Lizzie Mae Berry and husband Howard of Duffield, VA; sisters-in-law, Georgia Smith and Bessie Smith, both of Dayton, OH; brother, Eugene Smith and wife Pauline of Franklin, IN; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the Juanita Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Way of the Cross will provide the music.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Lane and Rhoton Cemetery in Pattonsville, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
