Mrs. Irene Williams Smith, 86, Kingsport, TN passed away, Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Wexford House, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Smith was born in Scott County, VA on May 1, 1923, the daughter of the late L.B. and Ora Maddux Williams. She was retired from Eastman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Smith, an infant son and her sister, Grace Wood.
She is survived by her nieces, Sandra Denton, Knoxville, TN and Wilma Kerr, Atlanta, GA, great nieces, Christy Goble, Knoxville, TN and Pamela Dwiks, San Francisco, CA, a special cousin, Virginia Lane, Gate City, VA and her special friend, Keith Mays, Kingsport, TN.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be meeting at the funeral home at 12 Noon to go in procession to the graveside service with Rev. Don Muncie officiating.
