Gerald Smith, 76, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
Mr. Smith was born on November 10, 1935 in Sullivan County, TN, to Patricia and Tandy Smith.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Doris A. Smith of Gate City, VA, Daughter, Loren Irene Gilly of Mobile, AL, sons, Elvis Franklin Gilly III of Mobile, AL, and Paul Mathew Gilly also of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The Smith family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Kenny Hammonds officiating. Following the family's wishes, Mr. Smith will be cremated.
