Randolph Shelton, 85, Kingsport, TN went to be with our Lord and Savior, Friday, July 26, 2013 at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
Mr. Shelton was born in Scott County, VA on October 16, 1927 to the late Sam and Ettie Shelton.
In addition to his parents, Sam and Ettie, three grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Randolph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Egan Shelton of Kingsport, TN; sons; Randy Shelton and wife Debbie of Kingsport, TN, Gary Shelton and wife Mitzi of Hiltons, VA, and Jeff Shelton and friend Twyla of Kingsport, TN, daughters; Penny Johnson and husband Steve of Big Stone Gap, VA, Deanine Spears and husband Mickey of Church Hill, TN, and Tim and Tammy Shelton of Toledo, OH, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gladys Shelton of Kingsport, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2013 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Tommy Benton and Reverend Roy Brickey officiating.
Graveside Services for Mr. Shelton will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m.
