Brian Keith Sexton, 49 of Gate City, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley.
He was born in Scott County VA on July 8, 1969 to Alonzo Sexton and Phyllis (Laney) Sexton.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Sexton; his maternal grandparents, Howard and Hazel Laney; and paternal grandparents, Marshall and Audrey Sexton.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his fiancée Rose Carter, of the home; his mother, Phyllis Sexton, Gate City, VA; father and step-mother, Alonzo and Rosey Sexton, Weber City, VA; daughters, Regina Cheyanne Sexton, Coeburn, VA; sons, Joseph Sexton and fiancée Shaunta Coleman, Norton, VA, Dalton Sexton and fiancée Sheila Musick, Dryden, VA; Tristan Sexton and fiancée Taylor Cleek, Gate City, VA; Step-sisters, Libby and husband Andy Keen, Dungannon, VA, April Tipton, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Dickie Sexton, Gate City, VA, Brandon Sexton, Kingsport, TN; 5 grandchildren; mother of his children, Marsha; special friends, Jeffrey and Savanna Hutson; several nieces and nephews, along with too many special friends to name.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. G. W. White, Rev. Joe Greer, and Rev. Wayne Stallard officiating Greg and Becky White will be providing the music.
The graveside service will follow at the Carter Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA. Joseph Sexton, Brandon Sexton, Tristan Sexton, Dalton Sexton, Cody Peak, Nathan Arnold, Kenny Begley, Mark Wells, and Stan Laney will serve as pallbearers.
