Edith Elliott Sawyer, 87, Conway, AR passed away, Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Conway.
Born May 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm C. and Ollie Gilliam Elliott.
Mrs. Sawyer was a member of Wood Riverview Baptist Church in the Wood community of Ft. Blackmore, VA.
In addition to her parents, her husband, George Sawyer; her son, Dennis N. Sawyer; one grandson, Donny Steward, two brothers, Edward Elliott, and Curtis Elliott; four sisters, Mary Belle Salling, Lillian Trent, Lola Gillenwater, and Dot Tackett preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Ann Steward, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Linda Geraldine Sigler and husband, Ron, Conway, AR; one granddaughter, Patsy Travis, Wenatchee, WA; two great grandsons, Kye Travis, Wenatchee, WA and Chris Baltera, Ft. Blackmore, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Grizzle Salling Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA with the Rev. Wrightly Salling and the Rev. George Lane officiating. Music will be provided by the Family Gospel Singers.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
