Lee Roy Sandidge, 60, Kingsport, TN, went to his heavenly home on January 29, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and friends supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
In 1984, Lee Roy married the love of his life, Von. He was a loving father and helped raise Amber with patience, compassion, and pride. He had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who are celebrating the fact that he is no longer suffering and is at peace with loved ones he longed for.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Willie Ruth (Bill); Brother BJ, Brothers-In-Law, Ira and Greg; Sister –In-Law, Debbie; his fur baby Harley and his best friend Payton.
Lee Roy is survived by his wife Devon; daughter Amber and her fiance, Billy; son Chris; sisters, Libby, Linda and husband Garland; brother Tommy; grandkids Christia, Drew, Drake, Bogey, Hayden, Wyatt, and his special angel Molly; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is carrying out his wish of cremation.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his daughter, Amber. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Todd Cassell officiating.
