Lamont was born in Kingsport, TN on June 15, 1973 to Mary Harris Sanders.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Sanders, Gate City, VA; Greg Bell; grandmothers, Christina Harris, Gate City, VA and Emma Snyder, Nashville, TN; daughter, Kiara Mickayla Sanders, foster brothers, Blake Wolfe, Kingsport, TN, Marvin L. Lewis and wife, Tracy, Kingsport, TN, and Derrick L. Lewis, Kingsport, TN; uncles, Mack Harris, NY and Marcelleous E. Harris and wife, Vivian, Elmont, NY; aunts, Mary Harris, Chattanooga, TN; foster Aunt, Wilma Lewis, Gate City, VA; Robert Goff; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his mother, Mary Sanders. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Mark Harbison officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. with Brother Nathaniel Johnson officiating. Marvin L. Lewis, Sr., Ronald Riley, Jr., Gordon Woods, Lamont Watterson, Ronald Cope, David Wolfe, Jeff Parkey, and Raymond Vanderpool will serve as pallbearers. Theo Robinette, Harold Shoemaker, Oscar Simpson, Willie Hughes, George Willis, Billy Joe Wolfe, Michael Hale, and L. Williamson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
